With a population of over 38 million Poland's entry into the E.U. has provided a massive database of available workers willing to come to Ireland. The biggest problem is the level of English those candidates will have. In response to this ISS Recruitment and ISS Linguistics have established an office in southern Poland in the beautiful city of Krakow.
The office is staffed by our polish colleagues all who have trained in Ireland and have experienced first hard the requirements of Irish employers. All chosen candidates will have a minimum of 20 hours of English lessons provided by ISS Linguistics in Poland prior to departure for Ireland.
As Krakow is a major tourist attraction the skill level of hotel and catering staff is high and English is widely used in this sector. Many international hotels operate in the city and as the level of salary is very low compared to here, workers are very willing to re-locate to Ireland for work.
The Steel industry is one of Poland's main sources of employment and many highly skilled Fitters and Welders are available to us. During a recent trip we visited a trailer manufacturing workshop and a train-building workshop in both occasions we were impressed with the work ethic and standard.
Drivers are plentiful. We only source the ones that have international driving licenses and have experienced H.G.V. driving on the continent.
Construction workers are both professional and highly skilled, the only flaw visible was the safety level been applied on the construction sites but with entry into the E.U this is sure to improve and has no true reflection on the workers.Most surprising was the high standard of finished work. We visited many apartment blocks and renovation projects and were very impressed by the workmanship.
